Coleman Crawling and Clapping

In the past week Coleman has started crawling...he has also learned how to clap. We are having to keep a close eye on him now because he always seems to crawl right to little things on the floor that he puts in his mouth. Callie has really enjoyed "helping" him crawl and she gets excited when she sees him do it.

Swimming

Callie has loved swimming in Papa and Bebe's pool in Atlanta. She has been in the pool almost everyday for the past 2 weeks. Needless to say, she is getting pretty good at swimming. Here are a few videos of her swimming:
She just jumped off the diving board for the first time yesterday:
She learned how to do a flip off the raft:
Just more video of her jumping and swimming:
This has nothing to do with swimming, but was a good video of Callie making her brother laugh. He loves to laugh at her and it's so much fun to witness.
This has nothing to do with swimming either, but her friends took part in a pretend roller coaster when we were at the beach:

Savannah

Right after beach project, we were able to go and visit Charlie's grandparent's in Savannah. It was a great trip. We had not seen his grandparents since Callie was Coleman's age (so 3 years ago). We stayed at Tybee island and drove in to Savannah each day to see them. Here's a picture of 4 generations of Colemans!
At Tybee.

The Last of Project

Here are the last of the photos from beach project. I feel like we are way behind on our blog posts. Things are happening quicker than I can blog about them. The three ladies.

After project, we left to go to visit Charlie's grandparents in Savannah (pictures from that trip to come soon). On our way out of town, we stopped at this nice restaurant in downtown Charleston called Cru Cafe. Super good. I got a shrimp BLT. We sat on the little porch and probably saw 10 horse drawn carriages go by!

Coleman at STP

Wanted to highlight some of Coleman's time at the beach project. It was relatively uneventful so that was nice. He actually did an awesome job of sleeping, so that made me super happy. He even had a little buddy to play with. There were actually two other baby boys on project this year, but Henry was closest to Coleman's age. Here they are in the wagon Woke Coleman up from a nap one afternoon to find this sticker on his face. Callie says she didn't put it on there, so it remains a mystery. Either way, waking up with a flower sticker on your face probably only happens because he has a big sister.

The Collarbone

Hand's down the strangest thing that happened to us this summer was that Callie broke her collarbone. I say strange, because we have no idea how or when it happened. She woke up screaming one night saying her neck hurt. She woke up crying multiple times that night. The day before she had been jumping in one of those big inflatable bouncy things but nothing seemed to happen. My best guess is that she maybe fell out of the bed during the night. Charlie was the first to reach her the first time she cried out that night and apparently he was so out of it he wasn't 100% sure if he found her in the bed or not. The next day we were just convinced she had strained a muscle in her neck bouncing in the inflatable house thing. We knew she was in some serious pain, but if you know Callie you know she's not a tough girl and she's quite the drama queen. I told Charlie I would have been tempted to take her pain more seriously if she didn't show me multiple times each day little hangnails and boo boo's on her fingers. So, we just gave her ibprofen and we were convinced it would get better real soon. Well a week goes by and she is still favoring her left shoulder. She was only in a ton of pain that very first day, but she just was still favoring her left shoulder. She literally ran around with it like it was in an imaginary sling. But, then, I notice a knot on her bone that was not supposed to be there. Long story short, we took her to the hospital there in Murrell's Inlet. Sure enough she had broken her collarbone! We were shocked, felt horrible. Charlie said we need to teach her the story of the boy who cried wolf so that this wouldn't happen again. We had considered the possibility of it being a break but quickly dismissed it, thinking she was just not in enough pain for that to be the case. I still feel bad about it. I guess I learned my lesson to really listen and consider each ailment she brings up
She literally wore the sling for 4 minutes. The doc said it wasn't important for her to wear it. In fact, he said she could still swim and do most anything within reason. We were thankful for that.
