Where to Begin

It's hard to know where to begin when you haven't posted a blog update in 6 months! It's getting harder and harder to keep posting pictures, but I know that one day I will be glad I did. Our spring finished up well with lots of baseball and soccer games. We had a low key summer. Our highlights were 4th of July at the lake and the beach in mid July. We returned to SC for a quick weekend trip in August to see a dear college friend and her husband and new baby. Callie started 5th grade. Coleman started 2nd grade, and Natalie started preschool. Abbie is growing and crawling all over the place. We took a trip to the apple orchard for fall break. The fall has been very full with all 3 older kids playing soccer! It's been a good past 6 months. Spring Break 2019!

Our family just recently wrapped up a wonderful spring break trip. It had been 6 years since I had been back to Minnesota, and my "nostalgic side" was aching for a visit. I've learned that my nostalgic/adventurous side can quite easily overcome my rational side (i.e. you have a 4 month old baby, it's crazy to go on a long road trip)! Ha! While the trip had it's long moments for sure, it was overall a wonderful time. It was great visiting with old friends and neighbors. We took in the sights of the city as well.

I even attempted to re-create a few old pictures!

After we left Minnesota, we headed to Chicago for two nights. There we enjoyed a gorgeous day touring around the city.

After spending two nights in Chicago, we ventured on to Cincinnati, OH. We spent one night there. We chose a hotel with an indoor pool. After swimming some in the afternoon, we headed to downtown Cincinnati for dinner. The next day, we visited the Ark Encounter in northern KY before making our way back home. We were thankful to the Lord for a safe trip and that He kept us all healthy throughout the whole time.
