Our "snow" storm

A few weeks ago, we woke up to a dusting of snow! Since moving to Atlanta, I have missed a good snow. Note, I said, "a" good snow. I don't miss the 99 good snows we got each year in Minnesota. I think if I got to draw up my perfect southern winter, I'd throw in at least one really good snow each year. I think it's so fun for the kids, and I will throw myself in the mix there too. I am like a big kid when it comes to snows or trips to the beach etc. Anything that involves enjoying nature (and isn't scary, like rock climbing), I'm all into it! While this was hardly the snow storm I was dreaming of, I've learned to make the most with what we have. I rushed the kids out of bed early on a Saturday morning to enjoy our little "dusting" before it all melted away. We took a decent number of pictures primarily because it was Natalie's first snow! We had to document that! Later in the morning, we were surprised that we actually had lots of snow coming down. The flakes, though they did not stick, were surprisingly large and beautiful. We enjoyed them, and Callie caught a few on her tongue (that's her signature move when it comes to snow). Perhaps one day, we'll take the kids back up to Minnesota during the winter and show them a "real" snow, but for now, this will have to do.
