As Jennifer mentioned in the last post, Coleman has really progressed in his walking. Here is a video I took yesterday:

Coleman Update

This guy! I absolutely love this picture of Coleman. Charlie took it with our ministry's camera. I think Charlie should look into photography for his future. But anyway...Coleman is changing so much lately. Here are a few quick facts:
1. still taking 2 naps (thankfully)
2. he's going to bed around 7:30 and sleeping till 7
3. he is really starting to walk now, although he seems to get no big thrill from it. It's like he acts like he's been doing it forever. He's taken at least 8 good steps in a row.
4. he eats like a champ. I call him a vacuum cleaner
5. he loves his toy balls (any and every kind)
6. he has a newfound love (just in the past 3 weeks) of reading. He actually crawled across the living room the other day to bring me a book to read to him. Callie likes to read to him too (as seen below)
7. unfortunately he's become quite dramatic himself (taking too many cues from big sister) he knows how to stick out that lower lip

Girl Time

I frequently go on Saturday mornings to Starbucks to study the Bible/read and enjoy some out-of-the-house time. This past Saturday, I decided it would be fun to take Callie along. As she is getting older, I see myself getting more and more excited to do "girl things" just the two of us. So, she brought her Bible and her journal along with her and accompanied me to Starbucks. It was really sweet time just the two of us. She got a kids' hot chocolate (only $1.50). She loved it and has continued to talk about/point out Starbucks whenever we see one.

Fall Fun

Fall is in full swing. The days are chillier and we have a TON of leaves in the back yard. The kids have enjoyed playing in the leaves. Notice in this first picture our neighbor's (really the bank's) house in the background. Sometime this fall it's supposed to get torn down (trust me it needs to be). We're kinda hoping we are home when they do it. Watching a house get bull dozed might be pretty entertaining.

Sliding, Laughing and "Walking"

Callie and Coleman love playing peek-a-boo together. Coleman thinks it's the funniest thing. There are many times a week when Callie will do something and Coleman laughs almost uncontrollably. Callie and Coleman slid down the slide all by themselves last week. They had a lot of fun sliding. Callie helping her brother learn to walk

Apple Orchard

We had our 4th annual fall trip to the apple orchard last thursday for our day off. Going to the apple orchard is probably my favorite family activity we do in the fall. This trip did not disappoint! It was a beautiful day (probably 70 degrees) and sunny. The orchard we went to is a small family-run farm and orchard. We started out holding baby chicks.

Then, we moved on to feeding goats. Callie really loved doing this.

They had this big corn pit to play in. It was so much fun.
