Sunshine!!!!

We have enjoyed a week straight with no rain! We are so thankful. We have been soaking up the sun outdoors. This Monday was Callie's first day of PreK4 at her new preschool here in Atlanta. We really love her teacher this year (we've been blessed with two great preschool teachers). Callie did great the first day. She really does well in the structured preschool environment. I trust/pray it will be a great year for her.

On Tuesday, we celebrated the sunshine with Bebe and went downtown to the centennial park area. Atlanta has a new ferris wheel downtown. We really enjoyed the ride. After the ferris wheel, we walked around centennial park and found the brick with Charlie's name on it. We finished the morning off with a Chick-fil-a at the CNN center.

We could not for the life of us get a smile out of Coleman on Tuesday. Well, what do you know the next day he comes down with a full blown stomach bug. Poor guy. Now we are just trying to survive that and hopefully/prayerfully not all get sick with it.

Trip to Spartanburg

This past week the kids and I went on a little trip to Spartanburg to visit my family one last time before the summer ended. Before we left Atlanta, we stopped by Daddy's work to say goodbye.

We had many good visits with my grandmother (the kids' Greatmama) while we were there

we played in the sprinkler with Aunt Laura at Gami's house

we got to revisit the splash pad. It was a great trip. I always wish that I would take more pictures, but I guess we were just too busy enjoying everything to think about photographing it all!

Lately

This has been a pretty standard week so far. We've enjoyed a trip to the park. Some days the big outing has been a trip to the grocery store. Soooo, needless to say we were very excited to have Aunt Laura come visit. It was a fun, however short (23 hr), visit. Probably the highlight was when we all had a picnic lunch with Charlie on his break at work. There is a great courtyard area to sit and eat in right outside his office. We even get to watch to trains go by!
