Outside

One word pretty much sums it up. Outside! We have loved being outside the past few days. Soaking in our 70 degree weather!

Sleepover!

I can't believe little Callie bug is old enough to have a sleepover. We've been wanting to do this for some time but I finally got around to inviting Maddux and Annie over for the night. It was great. Annie and Maddux were awesome, not homesick at all! We had dress up fun. We had pizza and ice cream. We put up our pop up tent that we used at the beach this past summer. The girls watched a movie. They slept downstairs in the living room in sleeping bags. I slept in the downstairs bedroom. We had early wake-ups. The girls enjoyed a 6am game of candyland. We made pancakes (pink ones actually) the next morning. It was a lot of fun. It will be a good memory for sure.

Lately

Lately, we have been coloring.

We attended Piper's farewell celebration service. He is no longer pastor at Bethlehem.

We went to the zoo.

We enjoyed a sunny day of 45 degrees... first sunny day in 10 days.

Callie has been perfecting her "house drawing" skills.

UNBELIEVABLE

We got about 5 inches of snow last night. I think today and tomorrow we are supposed to pick up about 3-5 more inches. What is unbelievable to me is not that it has snowed in April. In fact, it almost always snows in April (with the exception being last year). The unbelievable thing is how much it has/is snowing. This one winter (er spring) storm is dropping a total of about 10-12 inches on us! I've never experienced this much snow in April. It's almost like Minnesota knows we're leaving. It's sending us away with yet another snow memory. Well, here's to not forgetting you Minnesota!

We decided to make the most of it and get outside to play a bit.

he's starting to smile on command for the camera, cutie

Easter/Spring Pics

Spring has sprung in Minnesota. And by spring I mean, we no longer have highs in the 20s. We are consistently having highs in the 30s and 40s. As a result things are starting to melt. Callie is sporting her Hello Kitty raincoat that she got for her birthday. The second pic is of puddle splashing in our driveway. We've been doing a lot of that lately. Coleman loves being outside (he's hammin it up in this picture). The only unfortunate thing is that we were struggling in the rain boot department. The girly boots that are on Coleman are too small for Callie but a little too big for Coleman. He's getting around in them fairly well though. We were only able to find one pair of boots at Once Upon a Child, so Callie now has on navy (boyish) boots that are a little too big for her as well. You do what you can.

We had a great Easter. We celebrated with staff friends their parent's house. We have gone to the Reinhart's for many a Thanksgiving and Easter. It was sad to think that this will probably be our last celebration there (at least for a while). We had an indoor Easter egg hunt (due to the large amount of unmelted snow in the yard and the 20 degree windchill).
