More of the same

Here are just a few more shots from around the house. We are soaking in our "around the house/daily routine" time that we have for the next 3 1/2 weeks. Because, we know come May 20th (when we leave for the summer) we will not be here for quite some time. Here is Coleman in his little exersaucer. It entertains him for a little while usually (especially if he is not too tired)
Lots of quality brother/sister time
We love this picture because we think Coleman looks like he's just lounging in his tub.
I am so proud of Callie. She has been doing such a good job with her writing. She can legibly write her name (below) and a number of other letters. She's certainly a self learner. She has basically taught herself all this. In fact, she usually won't let me help her show her anything at all.

Hanging around

These are the kind of posts that you basically just do for family because they are probably the only people who care about the average "run of the mill" days. The past couple weeks (and probably the next month) are just typical weeks. We don't have anything big on the horizon until we leave for beach project. Today we had Evey, Maddux, and Sophie over for a movie. The girls watched "Tangled" Holly was here with me. She actually had the movie. We gave Samm a hour to herself at a coffee shop while we watched her girls. On the couch was Callie, Maddux, me and Sophie. Sophie has been sick lately, but thankfully she tolerated being away from her mom as long as I gave her chocolate chips!
When Callie wants to play outside in the yard, this is what I do with the "Cole Man" I have used my baby K'tan a lot more this go around.
Callie really loves her trike. Won't be long and we'll be needing to get her a big girl bike w training wheels.

5 Months

Can't believe this guy is already 5 1/2 months. It does seem to go faster the second time! Here's a few little fun facts about Coleman...

we still think you're a big boy. after your 4 month appt. you were in the 75% for height and 50% for weight

you can roll over both ways

you mostly sleep through the night but occasionally wake up for an early morning feed

just started going to a more regular nap schedule

go to bed around 7

laugh a lot at your sister

started being more opinionated (i.e. you don't like being left alone)

do great in the nursery, never met a stranger (yet)

love toys especially your bumble bee. You are grabbing at everything

very interested in our food, I think it's about time for solids

so cute and cuddly

WE LOVE YOU "COLE MAN"

Easter in Atlanta

Thanks to Charlie's parents we were able to spend a wonderful Easter weekend in Atlanta. We had a really great visit. The weather was nice. We enjoyed Easter egg hunts (two of them actually), visiting with family, going to parks, and dying eggs. All throughout the weekend, we tried to communicate the true meaning of Easter to Callie. We tried to explain how the real celebration is because Jesus is Alive. He rose from the dead, and therefore we can have hope for eternal life with Him. Hopefully some of that truth sank in.

Rolling Over and the Braves

A few days before his 5 month birthday, Coleman rolled over. We finally got a video of it this morning.
Yesterday was opening day for the Braves. Coleman and I dressed up in our matching Braves shirts to watch the game. Coleman didn't make it through much of the game since it was right in the middle of nap time. That must be why they lost.
Coleman and I represent the #3 and #4 hitters in the Braves lineup. Unfortunately, Uggla and McCann only mustered up one hit during the season opener.
Callie was with us too, so we had to get a picture of the three of us.

Callie's Dentist Trip

Callie had her first trip to the dentist last week. She did great. They counted her teeth, cleaned them with the brush, and flossed as well. She was a little hesitant at first, but warmed up pretty quickly and seemed to have a good time. Here is a video of her getting her teeth cleaned:

Here she is in the chair

This is Coleman with a big smile on his face. He just rolled over for the first time on Sunday, so we will post a video of that as soon as we get it.

And here is a picture of the two of them. Callie still loves her little brother and loves holding him in her lap.
